Additional Information:

Our little CP7019 is obvioulsy NOT prototypical. It never carried an actual number so in 2024 we decided to number it 7019. This is in homage to the actual CP 7019 on display at Heritage Park.

The actual CP 7019 has a significant history being one of Calgary's first 2 diesel locomotives assigned to Alyth Yard in October 1944. CP7019 was retired in November 1984. In recognition of its historical significance to Calgary, in July 1985 the Locomotive & Railway Historical Society of Western Canada rescued No. 7019 from CPR's scrap line in Winnipeg. It was then cosmetically-restored to its 1940s' appearance.

Our little CP7019 locomotive is most often used to haul some of our lighter maintenance equipment cars on our mainline track. It is also used at Supertrain to pull 2 cars with passengers on our 120 foot portable track.

Our loco finally has numbers.

"The Real" CP7019 in it's original 1940's colors.
At one point in the 1970's it did have a grey and maroon color scheme.
However, we have not found a photo of it in that livery.
